Weekly Bulletin: 2025-01-22
Dear Church Family,
Thank you so much for your faithfulness in gathering this past Sunday. I know that the snowfall changed many of our plans, but I am grateful the weather held off just enough for us to worship the Lord together. It is always difficult to know why God changes our plans sometimes, but we can know, as the Bible tells us, that his plans are better and higher than ours.
In light of those changed plans, I wanted to remind you about what’s happening this Sunday, January 26, and in the weeks to come. Obviously, last week, we weren’t able to have our special business meeting or Roll ’n Bowl. We’ve moved the Roll ’n Bowl to this Sunday, so I hope you’ll be able to join us for that. Likewise, the agenda item for the special business meeting will be rolled into our regularly scheduled business meeting on Sunday, February 9.
Also, be sure to give a warm welcome to Esther Leininger, our missionary to Peru, who will be visiting with us and sharing an update on the work in Peru during the morning service. She will also be giving a special extended update during the evening gathering at 6 p.m., which all are welcome and encouraged to attend.
Speaking of Peru, the team is still making preparations for their trip in July. There are lots of logistical items that still need to be ironed out, so please make that a matter of prayer. Also, some of the costs are higher than anticipated. If you’d like to support the Peru Mission Team, please do so by making a donation to the church with “PERU” in the memo line. We are so grateful for your support and your prayers!
Be sure to read through the rest of this week’s newsletter, as there are a lot of events going on over the next few weeks. Stay well, church, and stay warm, and, Lord willing, I will see you on Sunday!
Blessings 🙏
Pastor Brad
Worship with us this Sunday, January 26 🙏
Make your plans to gather with us this Sunday, January 26, at 10 a.m., as, Lord willing, Pastor Brad will be sharing a message from Colossians 3 as part of my “All Things In Christ” series. In Chapter 3, Paul begins to draw the Colossians’ attention to live the new life of faith in Christ by setting their minds on “things above.”
Also, be sure to stick around for another Roll ’n Bowl right after the morning service this Sunday! Enjoy this special time of food and fellowship with your church family and friends 🥘
