Weekly Bulletin: 2023-11-15
“Know then that it is those of faith who are the sons of Abraham. And the Scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying ‘In you shall all the nations be blessed.’ So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith” (Galatians 3:7–9).
Galatians is jam-packed with an array of eye-brow-raising statements from the apostle Paul. You’d be wrong to assume, though, that he was just trying to be shocking. Paul’s words aren’t shocking for the sake of attention — rather, they’re shocking because they reveal the rock-solid truth of God. This is especially the case in Chapter 3 when he attests that the only prerequisite to belonging to Abraham’s brood is faith alone. Maybe that children’s song “Father Abraham” had more truth to it than we realized!
Join us for worship this Sunday, November 19 at 10 a.m. as, Lord willing, I will be bringing another message from Paul’s letter to the Galatians as we continue in our series “No Other Gospel.” We will also be having a special time of prayer to dedicate the revamped youth group space downstairs known as The Rock. Be in your spots and be encouraged by another Sunday spent with your church family!
Blessings 🙏 Pastor Brad
