Weekly Bulletin: 2023-06-14
“Now may the God of peace who brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus the great shepherd of the sheep, by the blood of the eternal covenant, equip you with everything good that you may do his will working in us that which is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen” (Heb. 13:20-21).
For the last several weeks and months, I’ve been walking us through the book of Hebrews, endeavoring to show how Jesus is better. As that was the original writer’s objective, it’s been mine, too. There is truly nothing and no one worth giving all your attention to like the Lord Jesus, your great High Priest, who has made atonement for you through the sacrifice of himself. That and that alone is our abiding hope, the foundation of our faith. As we gear up to close out this series, we’ll be looking at Hebrews 13 and what life lived under the Great Shepherd looks like for those who are part of the “assembly of the firstborn,” a.k.a. you and me.
I hope you’ll be in your places this Sunday, June 18, at 10 AM as we open the Word of God together and seek to be changed by God’s Spirit. May we all be equipped to worship the Lord alone with reverence and awe, and live our lives with the same mindset. God bless you, church!
See you Sunday! 🙏 Pastor Brad
