Weekly Announcements: 2022-06-01
Dear Church,
It was kind of odd this past Sunday worshiping in front of that giant, semi-translucent tarp. But I am so grateful that we’ve been able to see (already) the signs of progress on our brand new sanctuary. I am confident that these momentary inconveniences will be worth it in the end. Soon, the pews and the carpet will go in, too. Thank you for your patience as we continue to work hard to complete this project over the next few weeks.
If the Lord leads, please considering giving towards this project. And please continue to pray that each phase of construction goes smoothly. I’m so grateful for your support!
This coming Sunday, we are back to our normal schedule and we will be observing the Lord’s Supper. Even if the venue might still look slightly “abnormal,” it will be such a joy to partake of the bread and cup as we commemorate, once again, the most essential element in our faith: Jesus Christ’s self-sacrificial death which paid for our sins. I pray that you will prepare your hearts to take part in this beautiful part of our faith.
As the Lord wills, I will preaching out of 2 Kings 13 during the 10am service and continuing in our series in the prophetic book of Malachi during the 6pm service. It has been a thrill examining 1 & 2 Kings to mine them for every rich blessing and truth those books reveal about our Almighty God. I hope that you, too, have been enriched by this extensive look at Israel’s history which, likewise, shows us how God the Father continues to work in us (and in the world) to accomplish his purposes.
I’m already looking forward to worshiping with you Sunday — and I hope you are, too!
Blessings 🙏 Pastor Brad
