Team Jude š
Dear Church Family,
As you probably know by now, Stoningtonās very own Jude Smerlick has suffered a very serious brain injury as a result of a motocross accident. He is currently under sedation at a hospital in Dallas, Texas, with mom and dad (Greg and Jen) by his side.
I am grateful to report that Jude has already made some good progress on his road to recovery, with his temperature and blood pressure returning to more stable levels, which has allowed the doctors to begin the slow process of weening him off the sedation medication.
Many have asked for ways they can help the Smerlickās during this season. Of course, it canāt be iterated enough: pray. Prayer works! James 5:16 says: āPray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.ā Pray for Judeās healing and for Greg and Jenās strength as they watch and wait on the Lord to work.
The Smerlickās are also facing a load of financial decisions and logistical costs. If you feel led to help Greg and Jen financially, here are ways you can help them.

The Scriptures say, when talking about the church, that when āone member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with itā (1 Cor. 12:26). As we hurt alongside Greg and Jen, may our hearts be lifted up in prayer as the God Who Heals and the God Who Hears listens to our cries.
Stay connected to the Church Facebook Page and Prayer Group for the latest updates. Thank you for being such a caring, loving, praying church.
Blessings š
