#JudeStrong
Dear Church Family,
At the end of yesterday’s morning worship service, I was able to share an update on Jude Smerlick. We thank the Lord, along with the entire Smerlick family, that Jude was able to open his eyes for a few minutes yesterday morning. He was also able to have a positive reaction test in all four of his limbs, even giving a thumbs up! Thank the Lord Who Heals for these moments of grace and progress! (Exod. 15:26).
Please continue to pray for Jude’s condition. As Greg shared yesterday, Jude has developed a case of pneumonia, so pray he can recover from that quickly. This morning, doctors were also performing a trial extubation to see if Jude was ready to start breathing on his own. There’s a long way to go yet, but thank you for all your prayers! God hears them. God uses them.
The eyes of the Lord are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry…The righteous cry, and the Lord heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles. The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but the Lord delivereth him out of them all. (Ps. 34:15–19)
